Los constituyentes farmacologicamente activos m�s importantes de Ganoderma lucidum, son los triterpenos y polisac�ridos. Los triterpenos por sus efectos hepatoprotector, anti-histam�nico, hipocolesterol�mico, inhibici�n de agregaci�n plaquetaria as� como inhibici�n del complemento y los b-glucanos por sus propiedades antitumorales, inmunomoduladoras, antimutag�nicas y antioxidantes.
